The Optometry Association of Assam (OAA) is a registered, non-profit professional body representing qualified optometrists across the state. Its members are graduates of a minimum four-year (now five-year) Bachelor of Optometry program from UGC-recognized universities, completed through regular mode.
The Association was established to unify the optometry community in Assam, uphold ethical standards, and safeguard the identity and dignity of the profession. Through collective strength, the OAA works to elevate the status of optometrists, advocate for rightful recognition within the healthcare system, and defend the rights of those who are academically and clinically trained.
